It’s not surprising then that Gaggia teamed up with Macmillan Cancer Support to help improve the lives of those affected by the cancer.

Gaggia support Macmillan in the fight against cancer

Many leading brands are working in the community to help solidify their brand image; supporting charities and doing community work is one way of encouraging customer loyalty and familiarity with the Gaggia brand. And as coffee mornings are already a popular way of raising funds, it’s a no-brainer Gaggia decided to sponsor Macmillan. Gaggia organised a number of events for Macmillan to help raise funds for the charity.

In coffee we trust: A royal alliance

As well as Macmillan, Gaggia joined forces with another leading community organisation aimed at helping to improve and motivate young people: the Prince’s Trust. Alongside the Prince’s Trust, Gaggia trained over 30 young unemployed people with their ‘Get into Coffee’ initiative. The Gaggia/ Prince’s Trust initiative helps unemployed people find job placements related to the coffee industry, such as coffee making and demonstration.

Gaggia support breast cancer appeal

Gaggia staff has also raised money for the Breast Cancer Appeal, helping promote the Gaggia brand as a company keen to make a difference, support ethical causes and actively contribute to the community.

Gaggia coffee gets hearts racing

As well as a number of charities over the years, Gaggia has also promoted and sponsored sport in the community, from local cricket matches to encourage new and young talent, to up and coming golfers and British Grand Prix racing teams. Gaggia made sure the drivers at the BRSCC Sports 2000 Series got a good cup of coffee by offering a mobile barista bar, ensuring a strong espresso got their hearts racing as well as their cars.
