Some machines may have been damaged slightly in transit, some machines are faulty on arrival to the customer but the fault may be a minor one that can be rectified quickly. Every machine is inspected thoroughly before it is offered as a re-conditioned machine with a 12 month warranty. Re-conditioned machines are available on our website or through selected retailers.”

As well as Gaggia having a recycling policy, Gaggia actively encourage long-term use of their coffee machines. As Gaggia machines are so expertly designed and built to a high quality spec, they are built to last. As well as their coffee machines, Gaggia take responsibility for re-cycling capsules and coffee. Their Caffitaly system capsule can be recycled, by separating out its different components for recycling – foil (aluminium), plastic and coffee. The Gaggia website suggests a variety of ways of recycling and disposing coffee in an environmentally friendly way. Coffee can in fact act as a fertiliser for your plants and garden, you can achieve this by:

• Sprinkling coffee grounds around plants for nitrogen release
• Adding it to compost
• Mixing with water to form a fertiliser
